We're Raising the Bar Together
If you’ve followed our journey, you know that everything we build, every program, every credential, every conversation, is grounded in a deep commitment to elevating this industry. I believe in standards, structure, and real recognition for the professionals who dedicate their lives to the care and well-being of animals.
I believe in hard work, honesty, and raising the standard in everything we do, especially in grooming. And right now, I can’t help but pause and look at what’s happening in our community.
We’re not just celebrating small wins, we’re watching real, powerful change unfold.
This month alone, several graduates have taken the leap into becoming formally certified through IAPEG, or have crossed over from the IAPEG and earned their formal diploma, and I want to shine a light on just a few of them:
💫 Maren, who has shown nothing but grace and grit in her journey—quiet strength that speaks volumes.
💫 Chrissy, our very first educator to become IAPEG-certified (and someone who constantly challenges us to do better).
💫 Hannah, whose calm leadership and clarity make her a natural mentor.
💫 Shannon, a powerhouse of heart, drive, and quiet determination. And in case you forrgot about these ladies last year that started this mission: 💫 Rachel Asher, committed to the healing and therapeutic side of grooming, leading with intention and care.
💫 Sarah Turner, focused, compassionate, and truly driven to make a difference through education.
💫 Shannon Williams, never afraid to keep learning, growing, and stepping up as a role model in her community.
💫 Joanne Parker, proving that it's never too late to invest in yourself and show up for your future. 💫 Jennifer Wilson – driven by a love for learning and a passion to grow her grooming career with purpose and professionalism.
These women, and so many others, are doing more than just grooming dogs, they’re shaping what professionalism looks like in our industry.
I created WPGA and have aligned with IAPEG because I believe that grooming is a career, not a fallback. That it deserves formal education, structure, and recognition, just like any skilled trade. No organization in this industry has come close to what we’ve built, many have tried and failed. I know many of you are watching, waiting for it to fall apart. Failure isn’t even on the table. Why? Because we have groomers who believe in this, who show up with heart and purpose, and we love them deeply for it. This exists because of them, and for them.
And now, if you’ve graduated from one of our Flagship Programs, have a GPA of 85% or higher, you’re eligible to become certified through IAPEG. If you are a member of the IAPEG and would like your formal diplma, you have that opportuinity, because formal education comes first, certification follows. This is your moment to get the recognition you’ve earned as a career pet groomer.
We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for professionals.
If you’re one of our Alumni sitting on your diploma wondering what’s next, this is your invitation! Your sign! What you have been waiting for!

With extreme pride and deeply humbled by those of you on the path to graduation and certification, I want to take a moment to say, you are the reason we do this. Every step forward you take, every commitment to growth, every decision to rise above the norm, it fuels the mission behind WPGA and IAPEG.
Here’s to those who are raising the bar.
